Styling Tips & Tricks

Read on to find some helpful decorating tips & tricks from our partner, Elle Maven

For Your Bookshelves

Do you need to fill space on your bookshelves? We often thrift old books and remove the covers for inexpensive sleek look!

Sometimes Simpler is Better

I was at Homegoods last night looking for a large planter. When inspecting one with an intricate design, I remembered I used to have unique decor all over my rooms. I recalled how easy it is to have too many unique items in the same room. It’s easy to get lost in the “sparkle” of items when we are out shopping and then get overwhelmed when we place them altogether once home. Simple doesn’t necessarily mean boring, it can also be beautiful.

The Dreaded Container Drawer

Spring Cleaning? Start with the container drawer! Make sure all containers have a matching cover, discard any stained items, and standardize the type used (glass or plastic). This lid organizer is great in also keeping the lids organized so everything can be found and put away easily! Bonus that it is adjustable and also has labels!

Art Placement

• Center of art sits at eye level (60″ above floor)
• 3″ – 6″ between pieces of art
• Art makes up 75% of furniture width
• Art sits 6″ – 8″ above furniture

Hide Your Remotes

A sleek way to hide your tv remotes is with faux book boxes! They are functional and make for a great centerpiece on your coffee table.

Don’t Be Afraid to Go Bold in Your Powder Room!

Wallpaper is a great way to achieve a bold look without being permanent or hurting your budget. We used a simple peel and stick paper and we love the contrast it created in this small space
